2025 VU BAND PRESEASON &
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Welcome to our new VU BAND members, we can’t wait to meet you! 
And welcome back to our returning members! 
We are so excited about 2025 VU BAND Preseason and the 2025-2026 academic year!

If you are NEW to 91̽»¨and have not completed our ARTS@NOVA survey, please start by answering a few short questions at the link below that will allow for us to contact you about VU BAND and 2025 VU BAND Preseason:

Summer VU Band Zooms for New Members

For new members, our VU BAND Executive Board of student leaders will be having zoom sessions over the summer to provide more info about the VU BAND and to answer your questions!

SUMMER/FALL 2025

New & Returning Students:

Details about move-in and our general schedule for the week are below. 

In addition, your VU BAND Executive Board will be in touch about many fun social events and activities planned throughout the week so you can meet our members and learn all about campus!

New and returning members who live on campus will be able to move-in to their assigned dorms/apartments/rooms during the dates of arrival listed below.

You must be registered for 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON to move in, activate your wildcard, and have access for meals!

For all VU BAND members attending 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON there is a $100 meal fee to help offset the cost of meals throughout the week. All members, whether you live on or off campus, will have the opportunity to dine together for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON. This fee will be on your Bursar Bill from Villanova.

We will be reaching out via email to new and returning members with more information about VU BAND, with a more detailed 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON SCHEDULE, and info for new members about what you will need to bring with you for band when you move in.

Please check your VILLANOVA EMAIL frequently this summer for important details and updates about VU BAND and 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON.

2025 VU BAND PRESEASON SCHEDULE:

WED AUG 13 (all day) and THURS AUG 14 (morning): 
All VU Band Executive Board and Appointed Position members move-in beginning at 10:00 am. (More details to follow about move-in via email). You will be able to pick up your dining card at the Band Room in St. Mary’s Hall from 10am-1pm.

FRI AUG 15: 
All new and returning members of the VU DRUMLINE move-in beginning at 10:00 am (More details to follow about move-in via email). You will be able to pick up your dining card at the Band Room in St. Mary’s Hall from 10 am - 1 pm. New members will also receive their Wildcards at check in. This is important! As your wildcard gives you access to both your Residence Hall and your room.

6:00 – 7:00 PM: VU DRUMLINE Dinner and Meet & Greet!

SAT AUG 16: 
All new members who play wind, brass, and mallet instruments and the remaining returning VU BAND members move-in beginning at 10:00 am (More details to follow about move-in via email). You will be able to pick up your dining card at the Band Room in St. Mary’s Hall from 10 am - 1 pm. New members will also receive their Wildcards at check in. This is important! As your wildcard gives you access to both your Residence Hall and your room.

10:00 AM:  VU DRUMLINE WORKSHOP DAY 
(Band Room, St. Mary’s Hall, West Campus)

4:00 PM:  Meal for all new members, their families, 
and all VU Band Members (St. Mary's Dining Hall)

5:00 PM:  New Member Welcome and VU Band Rehearsal
(VU BAND Room, St. Mary’s Hall)

SUN AUG 17: 2024 VU BAND PRESEASON

MON AUG 18: 2024 VU BAND PRESEASON

TUES AUG 19: 2024 VU BAND PRESEASON

WED AUG 20: 

Morning: VU BAND rehearsal

12:00 PM: New VU Band members eat lunch, head back to their dorms to meet their roommates, and begin New Student Orientation!

2025-26 ACADEMIC YEAR

Our regularly scheduled rehearsals for Fall 2025/Spring 2026 will be on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the VU BAND Room located in the lower level of St. Mary’s Hall on West Campus.

MON AUG 25: First day of classes for the FALL 2025 semester AND first VU BAND evening rehearsal from 6:00 - 8:00pm

TUES AUG 26: VU BAND Rehearsal, 6:00 – 8:00pm

SAT SEPT 6: VU FOOTBALL HOME OPENER v. COLGATE (kickoff is at 6pm)

Aug 16-20: Early Arrival 2025 VU BAND PRESEASON

2025 VU BAND PRESEASON:

  • Special arrival date for new & returning Drumline members is FRI AUG 15
  • Special arrival date for Exec Board & Appointed Positions is WED AUG 13 and THURS AUG 14 (workshops start at 1pm on 8/14)
  • New member move-in is SAT AUG 16

MON AUG 25: First Day of Classes + VU BAND REHEARSAL 6:00-8:00PM

Choir Camp - Labor Day Weekend, 8/29-9/1

Student Performing Arts is hosting Choir Camp for members of The 91̽»¨Voices & The 91̽»¨Singers over Labor Day Weekend.  

We will be preparing for exciting performances early in the school year with Mandy Gonzales and Amigos de Jesús, a Family Weekend performance with The Philly Pops and a very special guest star, as well as performances with the Theatre Department, 10/3-10/5.

  • Most of our rehearsals are held in St. Mary's Hall, building number 53 on the campus map. Use the parking lot entrance labeled 'West Campus Entrance'.
  • Most performances are held in The Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, building number 73 on the campus map. Use the parking lot  labeled 'I-1'.
  • Some larger events are held in the 91̽»¨Room in the Connelly Center (building 24), or in Jake Nevin Fieldhouse (building 36) the campus map.
