Recommended: Undergraduate BS degree from an accredited university in mechanical or aerospace engineering or their equivalent. Applicants with BS degrees in engineering disciplines other than mechanical and aerospace engineering or non-engineering disciplines such as physics or computer science may also be considered on an individual basis. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

The MSAE program will require a total of 30 credits (10 three-credit courses). The program will include a research thesis option or a nonthesis option.

 

  • 30 semester credit hours (10 courses), including at least 24 course credits and six credits of research for the thesis option.
  • A math requirement, which can be met by either taking ME 7000 (Advanced Engineering Analysis) or ME 7030 (Numerical Methods for Engineering Simulation).
  • A combined maximum of six credits may be either (1) taken outside the MSAE program with the approval of the graduate committee chair; or (2) transferred from other institutions with the approval of the graduate committee chair. A grade of "B" or better is necessary for transfer of credits.
  • Only graduate and research assistants are required to write a thesis. It is optional for other students.
  • Students must maintain at least a "B" average.

 

               

MS in Aerospace Engineering
Admission Requirements:

  • Applicants with a BS degree from an accredited US university*
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
  • Two letters of recommendation


 

International Requirements:

  • Applicants with a BS degree from a non-US university*
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 out of 4.00 or equivalent.
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 90 or IELTS score of 7.0 or other proof of English language proficiency
