Stanley Morehouse Award, the College’s highest honor, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to the engineering profession.The award acknowledges alumni who have made demonstrable contributions to the planning, administration and management of companiesand organizations.
Brownis thechairmanand CEO of 3M,agloballeader in the fields of automotive and industrial technologies, consumer electronics, personalsafetyand consumer products.In hispreviousrole, aschair and CEO of L3Harris Technologies, Brown was instrumental inestablishingINNOVATE, a summer prototypingprogram for 91̽undergraduates, and the L3Harris Heterogenous Autonomous Vehicle Lab, orHAVLab.In addition,Brownrecentlycontributed to the advancement ofthe College’sdedicationto research and excellence in teaching through a generousgiftestablishingthe William M. Brown ’84, ’87Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering.
