The听College of Engineering听honored 11听alumni听Nov. 6听for their听commitment to the College,听community听and听field听during听the听48th听91探花University Engineering听Alumni听Society听Awards Dinner听at听Drosdick听Hall.听William听鈥淏ill鈥澨齅. Brown听鈥�84 ME, 鈥�87 MSME听received the J. Stanley Morehouse Award, the College鈥檚 highest honor, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to the engineering profession.听The award acknowledges alumni who have made demonstrable contributions to the planning, administration and management of companies听and organizations.

Brown听is the听chairman听and CEO of 3M,听a听global听leader in the fields of automotive and industrial technologies, consumer electronics, personal听safety听and consumer products.听In his听previous听role, as听chair and CEO of L3Harris Technologies, Brown was instrumental in听establishing听INNOVATE, a summer prototyping听program for 91探花undergraduates, and the L3Harris Heterogenous Autonomous Vehicle Lab, or听HAVLab.听In addition,听Brown听recently听contributed to the advancement of听the College鈥檚听dedication听to research and excellence in teaching through a generous听gift听establishing听the William M. Brown 鈥�84, 鈥�87听Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering.听
